True to her childlike innocence. Verena doesn't understand the concept of love. Even when being flirted with ( a VERY rare occurrence) any attempts generally go right over her head.

Out of anyone she has met, Verena has the best relationship with Ana by a long shot. The two first met during Verena's time in Egypt while attempting to hide from Talon agents. She saw fit to ally with the masked bounty hunter for a time being, and succeeded in routing out her pursuers. But the two didn't stop there. They soon began to work together in sync, and Verena saw Ana as a mother figure she never had. She remained attached to Ana's hip for a long time, And, while not a member of Overwatch, didn't hesitate to follow Ana back to her comrades during the call to arms.

Verena has a healthy friendship with Reinhardt, and admires his resolve, kindness and diligence. She also appreciates that he treats her just as he treats everyone else, even if he seems a little hyper about it. He's usually one of the first people Verena will run to aid, or rush to for help.

While not intentional, Verena often treats Mercy and Torbjorn with disdain aware that it was their work that led to what she became. She still works well with them, however, not wanting to let her personal issues get anyone killed.

Verena spent most of her time wandering around at night, never staying too long in one place. She slept in alleys, under bridges, in gutters, and really anywhere else she could find a place to settle down for the night. She stole food, though only enough to keep herself alive, and drank whatever water she could find, not afraid of its source due to her regeneration factor.

Verena earned her name "Sawbones" due to her unusual, and even misguided, healing and medical abilities and actions. She never really pays note to this name, but answers to it either way, leading people to believe she doesn't really mind it.

Verena loves children, and will never hesitate to go out of her way to protect them by any means necessary. She always places them above all else, making sure they are out of danger before anyone else. One child had a huge impact upon her, despite having had such a short exchange with her. After saving the child, she gave Verena her pachimaru plush. This was one of the first acts of kindness Verena ever experienced, and she still carries the toy with her. She's been known to become enraged when someone tries to take it from her.

This gift also opened Verena's love of cuddling. She really likes to hug, and has a harder time sleeping without hugging something. Even her tail suffices at times.

While Verena isn't usually as dangerous as she appears, she is still, as some say, part wild animal, and has been known to revert to primal senses in order to defend herself. She isn't proud of things she has done in this state.

Verena is always putting herself in harms way to protect others. She doesn't care that they often treat her with disgust and sustain when they see her appearance, she only wants to make sure nobody ever suffers the way she had.

She often has long conversations with herself, trying to practice talking to others. It often doesn't work like she would like it too. Because of this, she tends to stay on her own, not wanting to scare anyone, or make a fool of herself. She believes her loneliness is a fair trade for everyone else's comfort.

People are often put off by Verena's abilities at first. She seems a hostile attacker, but she prefers to use her regeneration abilities to heal others instead. Her Gauntlet is. Known as R3GN-679, through she just refers to it as Regen. She wants a more creative name for it though.
